Why we offer to pray for you

As Christians we are called to help others find God and to demonstrate His love for all people. We believe that praying for people is an important aspect of this.

What we do and don’t offer

Apart from your contact details, the information you provide will be passed by an administrator onto one of our LIFE Groups, which typically comprise 5-8 church members. They will commit to pray for your request for up to a week. From time to time, some 'Can we pray for you?' requests will also be brought before the whole church in a general prayer meeting.

We are not an advice, counselling or help service.

Finding a local church and asking for prayer

If you are not local to Dorking you can find your nearest Newfrontiers church on the Newfrontiers website. There will also be many good churches close to you whose details can be found on the internet through search engines.

Data protection and confidentiality

We recognise that many people wish their details to remain confidential. At times 'Can we pray for you?' requests may be shared in the context of a church general prayer meeting. We do not pass any identifying details such as email addresses or last names around the church - that is why we do not need your full name.

The information you submit to The Vine will not be passed on to any third party, nor used beyond the scope of the ministry of 'Can we pray for you?'. It will be destroyed/deleted 3 months after final contact. If anything is disclosed which leads us to believe you or someone else are at risk of significant harm, however, we reserve the right to contact the appropriate authorities. In this case, we would normally attempt to seek your consent first.
